G12 conference session 3: Having a heart to serve God, Ps Cesar Castellanos

G12 conference session 3: Having a heart to serve God, Ps Cesar Castellanos
Reporter: Sharmaine Lin

Pastor shared from Matthew 12:18 (Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the one I love, in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him) that God has chosen us to proclaim His Word and to do so, we need to have a heart to serve God. Some of us struggle because we do not know if God has called us to His ministry and as such we all need a supernatural experience with God.

We need a supernatural experience because it is that which will help us withstand the pressures and temptations of the world. The raging voices of Hell that constantly haunt us can only be overcome by the immensity of His grace. Everyone is susceptible to temptation and sin but God will protect those who are faithful and will guide them out of temptation. Indeed, God will not tempt us beyond what we can bear. And along with temptation, we will find a way out of it.

Pastor Cesar also shared about the revelation of the Cross, which is the door of blessing to our lives. It is through the Cross, that we have victory in our lives. The revelation of the Cross is an experience of what it was like for Jesus to be crucified on the Cross.

Pastor shared his personal testimony that his experience of the revelation of the Cross, was the surfacing by the Lord of the sins of his past and of disordered passions that he renounced. He shared that it is important to confess our sins, even our sins of the past as that allows the breaking of chains.

Colossians 2:14

having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross

Indeed, when we confess our sins, there is a cancellation of every argument in the spiritual world and a breaking of our bondage to evil spiritual forces. As we confess our sins, God will cleanse and purify us and will lead us to a declaration that God is holy. Through the revelation of the Cross, we will have a supernatural experience of God and God will be pleased with us and call us into His service.

Pastor Cesar shared with the congregation of Pastor Claudia's supernatural experience of God which started with her prayer for the revelation of the Cross during a G12 meeting. Pastor Claudia experienced what it was like for Jesus to be crucified on the Cross. She also experienced the greatest moment of anguish, feeling the pain and loss that Jesus felt when God turned away, leaving Him to the attacks of the demonic forces. Pastor Claudia was transformed through the revelation of the Cross and it was this revelation that gave her the strength to press on in the face of the enemy and to rebuke the enemy’s attacks. When one has been brought to an understanding of the pain of Jesus, their spiritual lives will never be the same again.

Pastor ended the session by praying for the congregation to have a revelation of the Cross. This followed with a time of ministry and brother to brother, sister to sister, gave each other a hug from the Father.
